The Story
Elen returned to help imagine the future of Boomtown, kicking off the Boomtown Elections. Each district assigned a Spokesperson to collect their district’s vision for the future for citizens to vote on.
It started well, with each District sharing big ideas and bold plans... residents gathered around to discuss how the city should work, progress was made and the future looked bright. However, things got messy fast. Drama, mud-slinging, and corruption took over as the Spokespeople put personal gain above the needs of the city.
An Underground network exposed the corruption and rallied the crowds in protest. Elen joined their movement to scrap elected leaders altogether. Nonetheless, over 40,000 of you cast your votes, crowning Area 404 the winning District, and The Collector the Leader of Boomtown.
Just as the weekend ended, IONA—the mycelium living beneath Boomtown—hijacked the airwaves with a cryptic message: "The future is more than the options they are showing you. There is another way."
